ROBERT A. FIRTH has been associated with Ron Goldman for 34 years and a partner for 26 years. He received an Associate in Arts degree from Pasadena City College (1965), studied architecture at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo (1966) and earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Arizona State University (1970). He has been an active member of the Pasadena/Foothill Chapter of the American Institute of Architects since 1978.

Involved in all aspects of the creative process, his designs continue to emphasize site, climate, and natural light in exploring an "architecture that shelters without enclosing and defines without limiting ". His work has been exhibited from Los Angeles to Milan and published in Architecture, Architectural Record, Arts and Architecture, Abitari, Global Architecture, Casa Vogue, Interiors and Builder Magazine.
