Temple Solel synagogue and school , San Diego County, CA     Temple Solel in North San Diego County is a 57,000 square foot temple, community, and educational center in a compound of gardens and amphitheatres. Play areas, trellises and courtyards weave through classroom, administrative, and sanctuary buildings. Native and biblical landscape will connect the 5-acre sloping site to the adjacent San Eliso Lagoon, with California oaks on the hills above transitioning to sycamores and native grasses below.

The architecture mixes indigenous Spanish design common to the San Diego area with Jerusalem stone and other elements of eastern mediterranean design. An entry gate and arbor leads to library, administration and meeting rooms around a central circular courtyard. Passageways connect to a 24 classroom school and playground on one side and a sanctuary, social hall, chapel, and amphitheatre on the other.
